Newlite Nightwatcher outdoor security light with robotic light head

Monday, 08 November, 2010 | Supplied by: Newlite Pty Ltd

The Nightwatcher outdoor motion-activated security light features a robotic light head which eliminates security blind spots by tracking motion within its 220° active detection zone.

In the event of motion being detected, the light head will automatically activate and then robotically turn towards the breached zone to illuminate the area. At the same time, it transmits a 30 m signal to the optional ‘alarm plus’ monitor to audibly indicate the breach. The light head will stay illuminated for three minutes on the last breached zone and then return to its standby mode ready to resume operation.

The light features a microprocessor-controlled stepper motor to automatically turn the light head 140° and three passive infrared detection zones that have a total coverage of 220° and a range of up to 10 m.

It is available with either a 150 W halogen lamp or an energy-efficient 8 W ‘super-bright’ LED light head which has an extended lamp life of up to 50,000 h. The main body and light head is constructed from PVC and aluminium and has an IP55 rating to tolerate adverse weather conditions.

It is easy to install on a flat wall and is suitable for deterring intruders. Each model is available in black, white and silver.
