The Control4 HC-500 is a high-performance IP-based media server that is optimised for whole home automation systems with large home theatres requiring extensive I/O connections for device control.
In addition to managing the home theatre, the unit controls multi-room music, smart lighting, advance temperature control, security and many other home automation subsystems.
The unit features built-in audio distribution for up to 14 different streams of audio, 160 GB storage, digital and analog audio processing capability, ‘on-screen’ home control, multiple infrared and serial connections and video sensing for home theatre integration and a range of standards-based communication technologies including ethernet, Wi-Fi and ZigBee mesh networking.
The unit can replace all remote controls associated with home theatre and provide navigation and operation through a single, universal remote control.
