A range of low-voltage AC motors has been launched with improved energy efficiency and life cycle values over the ABB models they replace.
The motors are available in power outputs of 0.06 to 95 kW and in frame sizes from 56 to 250 and are constructed from either cast iron or aluminium depending on size.
The main improvement in these motors is in their efficiency values, to ensure they comply with the Australian MEPS efficiency requirements.
In the larger frame sizes, the aluminium motors are equipped with cast iron end shields, whereas in smaller sizes the main focus has been on the power output efficiency.
