Thursday, 29 January, 2009 | Supplied by: CABAC

The rackmount LSW16G and LSW24G unmanaged gigabit ethernet switches are equipped with 16 x 10/100/1000 Mbps and 24 x 10/100/1000 Mbps ports respectively. The switches provide a backbone link to switched workgroup or a server 'fat-pipe' link.

The switches are fully non-blocking and deliver a dedicated 10, 100 or 1000 Mbps connection to every attached client with no bandwidth congestion issues.

With 'plug-and-play' and hot-swap capabilities, the switches can be installed without an external power supply on any Windows computer.

Key features of the switches include 400 KB on-chip frame buffer, 'broadcast storming filter' function, store-and-forward switching mode and automatic source MAC address learning and ageing.

The devices support full duplex IEEE 802.3x flow control, half-duplex back pressure flow control, auto-negotiation functions and TP interface auto MDIX function for auto TX/RX swap.
