The CG MPOptimate 40/100 Gbps system is an MPO-based solution with increased optical performance, suitable for data centres requiring good design flexibility and migration. It is claimed to be only system which allows 2-12 interconnections in a channel of up to 300 m for 10 Gbps ethernet. With only 0.35 dB insertion and 28/35 dB return loss, it allows a seamless migration path from 10 Gbps to 40 and 100 Gbps.
The increased optical performance provides full IEEE 802.3ba 40/100 Gbps compliance even with more than two interconnections. This allows full design flexibility for EoR, ToR or any other complex designs. The system exceeds data centre standards such as ISO/IEC 24764 and TIA/EIA 942.
