‘Invisible’ speakers

The Stealth Acoustics X series of ‘invisible’ flat-front speakers is designed for in-wall or ceiling installation for home theatre and distributed audio systems, where the speakers are indistinguishable from the wall surface.

Rather than being positioned in front of or behind the walls, the speakers become part of the walls. Utilising an acoustically transparent material that matches adjoining wallboard and is blended with standard wall-finishing materials, the speakers are made ‘invisible’. The speaker front panel is mechanically isolated from the surrounding wallboard to prevent any cracking or dislodging of the finishing materials (ie, paint or wallpaper).

Installation is carried out by placing the wires in binding posts, attaching the speakers to the wall framing and finishing the wall surface. No special brackets or glues are required during installation.

The series consists of two- and three-way speaker systems, single panel speakers, two-panel subwoofers and high-current subwoofer amplifier.

The speakers reproduce high- and mid-range frequencies using carbon-fibre/motor assemblies. Neodymium-magnet motors attach directly to light, yet stiff carbon-fibre plates, which reside just behind the speaker front panel.
