Electrical enclosure coolers

Sunday, 01 June, 2008 | Supplied by: Compressed Air Australia Pty Ltd

The Exair Cabinet Cooler is a compact NEMA 12 (IP52)-rated means to purge and cool electrical control panels, protecting sensitive electronics from heat, dirt and moisture.

The cooler is attached to cabinets using side-mount kits, even in situations where there is limited space on the top or side of the cabinet.

The coolers convert an ordinary supply of compressed air to -7°C without refrigerants or CFCs. The cold air is circulated through the enclosure to eliminate high-temperature malfunction. Cooling capacities up to 5600 Btu/h are available.

The systems have no moving parts to wear out and include a compressed air filter to assure no moisture or dust is introduced inside the panel. An optional thermostat control is also available to minimise compressed air use.

The side-mount kits maintain the NEMA 12 (IP52) rating of large and small electrical enclosures. Models for use on NEMA 4 (IP56) and 4X (IP56) enclosures are also available.
