The Xantrex XTR series of programmable DC power systems is designed for test, production and quality assurance applications.

The power supplies deliver clean, reliable power with stable, variable output voltage and current for a range of development, test and system requirements.

The units are available in 12 different models, all using high frequency, soft switching technology to provide up to 850 W in a 1U half-rack package. Soft-switching is claimed to ensure higher MTBF by eliminating high-voltage transients found in conventional hard-switching power supplies, which can cause premature failure of power components.

The units feature: USB 2.0, RS232, RS485, isolated and non-isolated analog interfaces to provide a comprehensive set of options to connect to a PC or other network device; ethernet and GPIB interfaces are available as options; the ability to be connected in parallel or series to produce greater current or voltage output, or allowing for future expansion; multi-channel support where up to 30 units can be connected to provide remote programming and management; and straightforward uncluttered front panel controls to quickly and easily set voltage and current controls.
