The Monarch IP Aluminium range of switchboard building enclosures is suitable for infrastructure, chemical or marine environments; and typically used in water, wastewater, road and rail applications.
The IP66-rated enclosures are manufactured from 2.5 mm powder-coated aluminium and feature removable hinged pins and a removable back panel that is secured from the inside to prevent unauthorised access, an important feature if they are to be used for infrastructure applications.
The range is available in 26 standard sizes from 400 to 2000 mm high and depths from 400 to 600 mm.
Lock options include standard turnbuckle-style locks and padlockable swing handles, while the doors on all but the smallest model include 3-point locking to help reduce the risk of the door being levered open.
A mounting system inside uses ‘C-section’ rails to fit a range of accessories including mounting pans, insulating panels, shelves (also used for segregation) and fixed and hinged escutcheons.
A range of enclosure air conditioners (up to 10 kW), heat exchanger, fans, filters and anti-condensation heaters is also available.
