Jaycar Electronics Mains Standby Power Saver
The Mains Standby Power Saver (model MS6146) is a power switch that monitors electrical appliances connected to it and, once it detects that they are in standby mode, will switch them off completely after a short delay.
This energy-saving device eliminates the needless power consumed by appliances when they are in standby or idle mode.
The device is designed to assist in reducing energy consumption and carbon emissions and save on energy bills, as well as prolonging the lifespan of electrical equipment.
The device features an easy-to-program infrared receiver that will read remote signals, so switching all appliances on again is as simple as pressing the on button on the remote control, for appliances such as a TV, DVD or home theatre system.
