Wireless LAN switch

BWS-8012 is a 12-port wireless LAN switch that has been added to the existing 8- and 24-port switches in the Belden Wireless Solution range, using the Layer-2 Edge Architecture/Channel Blanket system to provide a predictable rate of wireless connectivity and quality of service.

The switch processes all wireless IP-packets using dynamic scheduling algorithms to allocate capacity to clients, allowing the same channel to be transmitted from every access point in the system without co-channel interference.

The switch can be used as a standalone device, or daisy-chained in a networked configuration.

The switch features built-in Power over Ethernet facilities, eliminating the need for mid- or end-span devices, while complying with IEEE 802.11 a/b/g wireless LAN standards.
