Trellis data centre infrastructure management (DCIM) platform

Thursday, 02 December, 2010 | Supplied by: Vertiv Australia Pty Ltd

The Trellis data centre infrastructure management (DCIM) platform is claimed to be the first, single-information-source platform to provide integrated, real-time visualisation, analysis and control.

The platform is a range of hardware, software and services designed to manage the requirements of infrastructure from a central source, enabling data centre managers to make sound decisions on the interplay between efficiency, availability and capacity utilisation.

The platform is claimed to increase capacity utilisation by providing visibility into and control over integration and collaboration between the physical and IT infrastructure layers and eliminating the need for a power system capacity ‘buffer’.

It uses the functionalities of Aperture, Avocent and Liebert DCIM and draws information into one source.

Various modules will be progressively available through 2011 and 2012. Current solutions will either migrate or integrate, as appropriate, with the Trellis platform.
