Schneider Electric Open Compute portfolio
Schneider Electric has introduced a portfolio of Open Compute solutions and resources aimed at making Open Compute more attainable for data centre managers.
The portfolio includes an Open Rack V2, available preassembled or as a flat pack for ease of stocking and shipping, as well as concept designs for a high-density, high-efficiency power supply unit (PSU) and battery backup unit (BBU). It also includes reference designs covering Open Compute racks, BBU, PSU and the complete power and cooling infrastructure from the utility to the server.
A Trade-off Tool, which allows users to input their own data to more fully understand the CapEx implications of Open Compute versus traditional architecture, is also available.
