The Kingfisher pocket fibre testers are inexpensive and versatile optical fibre test gear, comprising light sources and power meters.

The rugged instruments are moisture- and drop-resistant and feature a sunlight-readable display and interchangeable optical connectors that allow a single kit to be used in a wide variety of systems.

The KI9600 Pocket Optical Power Meter is a practical tool suitable for the majority of basic testing needs. With interchangeable connectors, multi-wavelength referencing, multi-fibre ID tone detection and display hold, the unit is versatile while remaining simple to use.

The general-use InGaAs detectors suit all 600-1650 nm applications with fibre core diameter up to 200 µ. Several alternate detectors are available for other applications, including high-power detectors, large-area detectors, wavelength-selective detector (for PON use) and Si and Ge detectors.

The KI9800 Pocket Fibre Source is suitable for testing single-mode, multimode or POF systems, featuring interchangeable connectors, 1-3 wavelengths, multi-fibre ID tone generation and connector repeatability <0.1 dB. Several optical options are available, making it suitable for a variety of applications, including singlemode/multimode (LED and laser), fault finding, continuity and POF testing.
