Optical fibre cleaner and scope
The In Adaptor Scope & Cleaner has been designed for simple and safe inspection of optical-fibre ferrule end faces. The device enables fibre connectors to be cleaned and inspected without the need to remove them from adapters.
One step taking 5 s is needed for ‘viewing — cleaning — viewing’ of the ferrule end face.
The instrument features a colour LCD monitor that shows the ferrule end face and enables images to be taken and downloaded via USB using video capture software supplied with the device.
The instrument uses a solvent to clean ferrule end faces, which eliminate tapes and/or ribbons that are typically used on other cleaners, with the claim of being more cost effective to operate.
