Firmware version 5.10 has been released for installation onto the Axis P3301 fixed dome video surveillance network camera, which provides support for the Open Network Video Interface Forum (ONVIF) global interface specification for network video products.
Support for the ONVIF standard will be provided for the majority of Axis CCTV networked video products, either directly at launch or in firmware updates. The standard promotes openness in the market for network video. The Axis-developed interface, Vapix, will continue to be supported by the networked camera portfolio, in parallel with support for the ONVIF standard.
