The AWK-5222 is a rugged, IEEE 802.11 a/b/g-compliant, 3-in-1 industrial wireless AP/bridge/client that is claimed to be immune to disconnections caused by radio interference, making it suitable for deployment in critical industrial wireless applications.

To ensure reliability, the device has two independent RF modules for establishing independent wireless connections for rapid failover, while providing more topology choices to fit different wireless applications.

In the wireless redundancy mode, the unit increases the reliability of the wireless network. In the wireless bridge mode, it optimises wireless distribution system (WDS), while the AP Client mode can be used to provide internet access in areas where cabling would be too expensive or impractical to install.

The device is compliant with IEEE 802.3af power-over-ethernet operations for power distribution in outdoor and remote areas and equipped with dual ethernet ports that support RSTP or turbo ring for added reliability.

The device is capable of long-distance data transmission of over 10 km and features Wi-Fi protected access (WPA/WPA2) security.
