ATEN International has unveiled its NRGence EC1000 Energy Box and PE1216/PE1324 Energy Power Distribution Unit (PDU). As the latest evolution in energy intelligence, ATEN’s energy solution provides instant real-time power management control and energy-saving efficiency for data centres, allowing organisations to easily upgrade current IT resources quickly and cost-effectively.

The NRGence EC1000 Energy Box monitors ATEN’s Energy PDUs, ensuring safe and effective energy-saving power management. The Energy Box has four energy sensor ports that monitor environmental conditions, providing measured readings of temperature, humidity and differential pressure from separate areas of a data room. Power and environmental data can be displayed and monitored at the rack or remotely for convenient viewing and maintenance. When used in conjunction with ATEN’s Energy PDUs and eco Sensors Energy Management Software, the EC1000 allows organisations to upgrade its cabinet with remote energy management functionality to make a server room go green quickly and cost-effectively.

The PE1216/PE1324 Energy PDU features a space-saving 0U design that allows it to be mounted vertically on the outside of a rack - a more efficient use of space in the server room. When integrated with the Energy Box, real-time environmental conditions can be monitored via the EC1000’s front panel at the rack or via Web GUI remotely.
