Emerson Power Network SmartCabinet pre-engineered IT rack solution

Emerson Network Power has announced the availability of the SmartCabinet, a pre-engineered integrated rack solution designed for deployment to edge of IT locations.

Designed for small computer rooms with limited floor space, this latest product offering combines all the critical components needed to keep the IT infrastructure running efficiently, while improving the speed of system deployment.

The cabinet is composed of a single rack that meets all the requirements of a traditional data centre by combining power protection, thermal management, power distribution unit and infrastructure management and monitoring in a simple packaged solution.

It is preconfigured, pre-installed and factory tested to ensure system compatibility. It eliminates the need to build complex computer rooms, which dramatically improves the speed of system deployment compared to the traditional build approach.

SmartCabinet comes equipped with an online double conversion rackmounted uninterruptible power supply (UPS), as well as a built-in, rackmounted air-conditioning system. The integrated thermal management solution inside the rack provides 100% protection against dust, reducing the risk of equipment breakdowns and expanding the lifespan of equipment.
