AFC Group's third-generation MTP cabling solution offers good density and low link loss performance while providing an easy upgrade path to 40 and 100 Gb circuits.

The product set includes both singlemode (OS2) and multimode (OM4) MTP and breakout cable assemblies using bend-tolerant 3 mm round mini cable, high-density cassettes, LC patching leads with high-density uniboot connectors and a range of enclosures from 1 through to 3RU.

The MTP system includes a 96-fibre 1RU solution which is suitable in data centre and storage area network environments. In addition, unique colour-coded systems are available for clearly differentiating and identifying different networks, ie, SAN A and SAN B.

It is said to provide the lowest link/channel optical loss performance available, supports increased density without inherent cable management issues and significantly reduces installation times.

All products are manufactured to TIA, ISO and AS/NZS standards.
