NBN to 3.5m homes and businesses by 2015

Friday, 30 March, 2012

More than 3.5 million homes, schools, hospitals and businesses will have access to National Broadband Network fibre services in the next three years, NBN Co has announced.

Under NBN Co’s first three-year rollout plan, over a million homes and businesses in NSW will have - or be on the way to having - NBN fibre services.

NBN Co reported that construction has started and work will commence between 1 April 2012 and 30 June 2015. Once fibre network rollout begins in a given area, NBN Co anticipates it will take an average of 12 months until people can connect to the NBN.

An interactive map on NBN Co’s website shows announced rollout locations and details about the NBN construction.
