NBN Co releases Master Developer Agreement
NBN Co has announced the release of its Master Developer Agreement (MDA). The new MDA aims to streamline NBN Co’s implementation of the government’s Fibre in New Developments Policy. The MDA covers the details of the entire development (or part thereof), whether the stage is an SDU, MDU or Hybrid Development.
“With the release of the MDA, the original process to submit a fibre application has now been split into two steps,” NBN Co said in a statement. “First, you must register your overall development and then you will need to submit a fibre application for the first stage of your development, [for] which you should already have stage 5 council approval to commence construction/civil works.
“If you already have an approved development with a signed developer agreement for one of your previous stages, you do not need to register your development again. Simply proceed to ‘Apply for fibre to be installed’ for your next stage. You will need to have ready your development reference to submit a fibre application.”
To apply for NBN Co fibre to be installed in a new development, visit www.nbnco.com.au/newdevelopments.
To register a development, you will need:
- Developer name, company and contact details
- Development name, location and number of lots and stages
- Consultant details (if applicable)
- Master Development Plan
