4.5-star NABERS rating for Erskine Park data centre
Digital Realty’s Sydney Erskine Park data centre infrastructure has achieved a 4.5-star NABERS Energy rating.
NABERS Energy ratings for data centres (infrastructure) provide an indication of the operational energy efficiency of data centres in Australia. The ratings are based on the actual operational performance of a facility, with a rating of 4.5 stars reflecting a high level of performance.
The NABERS Energy rating is based on the operational and quantitative data for Digital Realty’s Erskine Park data centre, with more stars indicating better performance and environmental outcomes.
Sydney is positioned to become a prominent enterprise data powerhouse and is projected to generate the fourth-fastest growth in the intensity of data gravity by 2024, according to Digital Realty’s Data Gravity Index, meaning that it is essential that data centre infrastructure delivers industry-leading energy and resource efficiency.
“Data centres are the bedrock of the digital economy. Ensuring their sustainable operations is a responsibility we take seriously. Digital Realty is committed to continuous improvement, implementing best practices in sustainability and enabling a new era of connected global data communities,” said Rod Glover, Head of Operations Australia at Digital Realty.
