The Kingfisher KI7827 light source and KI7600 power meter optical fibre test set have been introduced into the TechRentals rental fleet.
The test set is used for singlemode optical fibre applications such as FTTH (1310, 1490 and 1550 nm) and can test up to a 200 km range, depending on losses in the fibre.
The light source has angled SC, FC and ST interchangeable connectors, while the power meter is equipped with an ‘In-Gas’ detector, large user memory and flexible real-time PC reporting software.
The ‘autotest’ function provides automatic multi-wavelength loss testing. The meter displays mW, uW, nW, dB, dBm to 0.01 dB resolution, with no range-changing delays. The meter can be used for multiple, single and multimode wavelengths.
The test set can also be used for networks without angle connectors.
