Yingli Solar appoints MD for Oceania region
Daman Cole has been appointed as managing director of Yingli Solar’s Australian, New Zealand and Pacific operations.
Appointed to the role after 12 months as the company’s commercial director, Cole will be responsible for setting the company’s strategy, building Yingli Solar’s business, and managing and expanding its distribution partnerships.
“Daman has made a significant contribution to the growth of Yingli Solar’s footprint in Australia over the last 12 months,” said Leon Zhao, director of international sales.
“He has worked closely with our distribution partners to communicate the quality and efficiency that sets Yingli Solar apart and to drive preference for our solar panels. We are delighted with the milestones he has achieved and believe that Daman will continue to lead the company on a growth path as we move into the new year.”
Yingli Solar opened its first Australian office in Sydney on 8 August 2013. The company works with distribution and retail partners Solar 360, Zhenfa Australia, L&H Solar + Solutions, EnviroGroup, Solgen Energy and Cablelogic.
