Two die and two suffer serious burns in Perth explosion

Two men have died and two have suffered serious burns following an incident at the Morley Galleria Shopping Centre on Tuesday, 3 March. The men were reportedly carrying out electrical maintenance work.

The National Electrical and Communications Association (NECA) WA will be establishing an appeal for members of the electrical industry and the general public to donate money which will be used to provide support to the families of the deceased and injured workers. NECA WA Executive Director Garry Itzstein expressed his sorrow for the tragic incident. “On behalf of NECA and its thousands of members throughout Australia, our thoughts are with the deceased and injured workers and their families. We also wish to acknowledge the selfless efforts of the many people who rushed to the assistance of the injured contractors.”
