Trademark searching made easier

Tuesday, 28 February, 2017

Searching for available trademarks is now easier thanks to IP Australia's trademark database search tool. It replaces the current ATMOSS system.

Each year, IP Australia receives over 60,000 trademark applications from businesses and individuals to secure their brand, but many make the mistake of applying for a trademark that is already registered. The Australian Trade Mark Search tool now makes it simpler and easier to check if a proposed trademark is available.

The tool allows you to search trademarks quickly and efficiently. Features include image recognition and machine learning technology that detects objects within an image and makes instant comparisons across Australia’s entire trademark database, as well as a real-time search counter and the ability to text search across a range of goods and services.
