Solco has announced several changes in its executive staff. The company has appointed a new Chief Executive Officer, while its Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer have both tendered their resignations.

The company says these changes have "enabled it to review its structure and refocus its operations to take advantage of new opportunities in a post-rebate solar market".

Anthony Coles will commence the CEO appointment immediately, based in Solco’s Adelaide office. Mr Coles was most recently Solco’s General Manager of Sales and Marketing.

Mark Norman tendered his resignation as Executive Director for personal reasons on 23 April, continuing in the position to the end of the month. Steve Missen, General Manager of the Wholesale business and CFO, has also resigned.

Mr Coles said, “Last year Solco celebrated 25 years in operation, proof that we can adapt to the challenges of an evolving industry. These changes are a natural part of the business positioning itself for a post-rebate operating environment.”

“We have a range of long-term initiatives in place to ensure our success in the future, but we need to get back to basics to deal with the day-to-day customer service needs of our core customers.”

“Without customers you have no business - no matter how much you believe in the value of solar energy.”

In addition to these changes, Solco is also in talks to finalise a “renewable energy focussed investment vehicle”, which it hopes will enable it to participate in the Clean Energy Finance Corporation's plan to increase renewable energy projects up to 2020.
