Schneider Electric scoops DC Power Product of the Year award
The Schneider Electric portfolio of prefabricated and micro data centre solutions has been named Data Centre Power Product of the Year at the DCS Awards 2016, held in London earlier this month.
The company’s prefabricated configurations include power, cooling and IT modules to provide a flexible approach to data centre infrastructure. The building blocks are factory tested and pre-engineered before being delivered to the customer site as ready-to-deploy modules.
By deploying only what is required, customers can reduce initial CapEx outlay and take a pay-as-you-grow approach to capacity upgrades as business requirements change.
Receiving the award on behalf of Schneider Electric, Data Centre Business Development Director Matthew Baynes said, “We are delighted that our prefabricated and micro data centre solutions portfolio has been presented with this prestigious award. It represents a significant endorsement for the continued investment in modular data centre innovation. I’d like to thank the judges at the DCS Awards and, in particular, the many data centre professionals and customers that have voted for us.”
