Rooftop solar trial update
AusGrid is inviting interested parties to the latest Smart Grid, Smart City seminar, for an update on the Rooftop Solar Trial.
As households look for more efficient ways to generate electricity and save money, Smart Grid, Smart City is assessing renewable energy sources. This seminar will provide an update on the current trial including; rooftop solar background information, the status of the existing 1000 solar systems in Sydney’s Newington, the amount of energy being generated, the impact of renewables on the electricity network and the effect of solar on peak demand.
Seminars are being held in three locations; Newcastle on 21 February 2013, Sydney City on 22 February and at the Smart Home in Newington on 28 February.
