Thursday, 23 February, 2017

The sparc-FMA International Lighting & Facilities Event (sparc-FMA) will be held over three days from 30 May–1 June 2017 at the new International Convention Centre at Darling Harbour — in the very heart of Vivid Sydney.

A joint initiative of Lighting Council Australia and the Facility Management Association of Australia, the event will feature an exhibition showcasing the latest in lighting and facility management innovation from Australia and globally. It will be the largest gathering of facilities, related technologies and smart lighting industries in the Southern Hemisphere.

For the first time, Australian and international facilities and lighting manufacturers, suppliers and service providers will be showing the latest developments under one roof. sparc-FMA will continue the strong heritage of the three previous sparc international lighting events, which have seen in excess of 2000 delegates at each event and the exhibition space at each event fully committed.

For exhibitors and sponsors, sparc-FMA provides an opportunity to gain exposure in an event packed with industry professionals — a chance to get in front of key decision-makers including architects, designers, specifiers, property owners, facility managers, project managers, major lighting stakeholders, suppliers, manufacturers and allied professionals across a broad range of related industries. It is the only event of its type that directly contributes to the development of the respective industries through their industry bodies.

Lighting Council Australia CEO Richard Mulcahy said that facility management and lighting are highly complementary industries and that the combined event represents an excellent opportunity for Australia’s lighting industry.

Nicholas Burt, CEO of the Facility Management Association of Australia, said that sparc-FMA will be Australia’s largest and most significant event for the facility management and lighting industries. He said sparc-FMA is underpinned by a long-term commitment and benefits by being owned and managed by the two industries — an event operated by industry, for industry. Events such as this, run by industry bodies, contribute to sustaining industry development.

sparc-FMA will also feature a symposium involving world-renowned international and local experts in the fields of lighting and facility management. The speaker symposium will be held concurrently with the exhibition.

The event will culminate in a gala dinner on the evening of 1 June 2017 in ICC’s Grand Ballroom.

A majority of the floor space has already been filled, but some spaces remain. Exhibitors, sponsors, partners and visitors are invited to register now using this link.
