New regional president for Avnet Electronics Marketing Taiwan
Avnet Electronics Marketing has appointed a new regional president for Taiwan. Prince Yun is currently the vice president of Avnet for Taiwan and will step up into the position of president on 1 April.
Current president Samuel Fang is stepping down from the position after 16 years with the company and more than 35 years in the electronics distribution field. Fang will remain with the company as senior advisor of Avnet Electronics Marketing Asia.
With more than 24 years’ experience in the industry, Yun joined Avnet Electronics Marketing in Taiwan in 1995, when the company acquired and integrated Mercuries Co. Over his 16 years with Avnet, Yun has led the Semiconductor Marketing team, as well as the Sales and FAE departments. He was promoted to the position of vice president in 2010.
“Prince Yun is the ideal choice for our next Taiwan leader - with broad experience and an excellent performance track record,” said Stephen Wong, president of Avnet Electronics Marketing Asia.
“Samuel has been an inspirational leader for Avnet Electronics Marketing Taiwan,” Wong added. “He is leaving the organisation in excellent hands, and we sincerely wish him a pleasant and enjoyable new phase in his life.”
