New General Manager of Marketing at Clipsal
Clipsal Australia has appointed Dirk Howindt as General Manager of Marketing for its ISC (Installation, Systems and Control) business.
The leadership role has been newly created as part of a greater restructure within the company, to create a change from a product-based to a functionally aligned commercial organisation.
Howindt brings with him a wealth of experience including senior strategic marketing expertise in roles as General Manager, Marketing at Ericsson Australia, Head of Marketing for ANZ and Director of Marketing for Berri after serving Colgate-Palmolive in various marketing roles in Europe, USA and Asia.
“Like everyone in Australia, I was well aware of Clipsal’s profile and the Clipsal 500 sponsorship; however, I was pleasantly surprised by the breadth of product offered and the innovative technology in the range,” said Howindt. “I look forward to having some fresh input into the business and applying some of the ideas I’ve developed over the years. I like to understand the customer as a whole, what makes them tick and to give the brand more meaning.
“Having worked in the technology sector before and dealing with a customer base that was 85% independent tradespeople, I believe we have a good opportunity to do a lot with the Clipsal brand.”
Dirk commenced with Clipsal on November 30 and will be relocating from Melbourne to Adelaide in 2010.
