New General Manager for NECA Queensland

Guy Houghton was appointed as General Manager of NECA Queensland on 1 September 2010. With over 25 years’ experience in the electrical industry across all levels of management, Houghton has previously held the position of General Manager at Sanyo Australia. In addition, he held the position of Chief Executive Officer for BSL Group, a service provider to the consumer electronics industry.

Houghton is eager about the opportunity to serve and grow the membership of the peak electrical industry body in Queensland, stating: “I am excited at the opportunity to develop the communication channels with our members, suppliers and to expand the suite of services offered by NECA and its partners.

“I’m not scared of doing the heavy lifting on behalf of the industry. I am keen to ensure all Queensland electrical and communications professionals are up-to-date with industry relevant information.

“NECA is the only peak body that can supply true national representation lobbying on behalf of its members, and during these times of change and opportunity I believe it is critical for all professionals to be aligned.”
