NECA offers careers open day
NECA Education & Careers is holding an open day for students interested in entering the electrical industry.
The open day will be held at NECA’s Carlton North on Wednesday 26 August and will include a contractor’s breakfast, personalised tours and hands-on activities so students can talk to professionals in the industry and experience what it is like to be an apprentice.
There will also be an opportunity for students to take the NECA Readiness Assessment, assessing their aptitude for the electrical industry. Applicants who achieve a higher result from the assessment can provide employers with evidence that they have the potential to successfully complete the off-the-job component of an electrical apprenticeship.
These results are sent to over 1100 contractors facilitating apprentice selection for their business.
