NECA ACT Excellence Awards
The electrical industry recently recognised the outstanding skills of six contracting firms at the 2007 NECA ACT Excellence Awards held at the Hyatt in September.
NECA ACT president, Greg Kempton said: "These awards give us a chance to applaud the year's outstanding projects and quality work, including recognition for outstanding efforts in electrical, voice and data communications systems design, innovation and installation."
Intravision of Fyshwick won in two categories: Domestic for a working display of home automation at Monash, and Voice/Data Small Project for relocating the property section of the Department of Education, Science and Training to the St George Building.
O'Donnell Griffin's Mitchell team won the Medium Commercial Project award for a project at the Canberra Hospital Medical Records and Data Centre in Garran.
Multisystem Communications won the Voice/Data Large Project category for an innovative installation at Woden for the Civil Aviation Safety Authority.
Tuggeranong's Network Electrical Services won the Large Commercial Project category for its work on two sites at Brindabella Business Park at Canberra Airport.
Caldwell's Casper Electrical Took out the Small Contracting award for the electrical fit-out to 14 stores as part of the Canberra Centre extension in Bunda Street, Civic.
