Ministers confirmed for Clean Energy Week
The Queensland Minister for Energy and the Shadow Minister for Climate Action have been confirmed as speakers at the Clean Energy Council’s (CEC’s) Clean Energy Week in July.
Greg Hunt, the Shadow Minister for Climate Action, Environment and Heritage, and Mark McArdle, the Queensland Minister for Energy and Water Supply, will both contribute to the opening plenary session of the three-day conference.
Clean Energy Week is a big event for the renewable energy and energy efficiency industry, incorporating the ATRAA (Alternative Technology Retailers Association of Australia) solar conference; a trade exhibition; two awards programs; and a clean energy debate on the 2013 conference theme of ‘Rethinking energy’.
Other presenters include: Michael Fraser, CEO and Managing Director of AGL Energy; Kobad Bhavnagri, Lead Clean Energy Analyst, Australia, Bloomberg New Energy Finance; Dr Alex Wonhas, Director - Energy Transformed Flagship, CSIRO; Warwick Johnston, Managing Director, SunWiz; Nick Lake, Managing Director, Sungevity; and Christine Milne, Leader of the Australian Greens.
The 2012 event drew more than 2500 local and international delegates and organisers say the 2013 event will be even bigger. Clean Energy Week runs from 24 to 26 July 2013 in Brisbane. For more information and to register, click here.
