LG Chem recognises top Australian installers
Korean battery manufacturer LG Chem held the 'Top Installer Award 2018' for the first time in Australia on 15–16 February, which rewarded the top five installers of its home battery (RESU) based on sales records on the Energy Storage System (ESS) Partner Portal.
The top five RESU ESS partners for 2018 were:
- Sky Energy Systems
- Australia Wide Solar
- Solargain
- Whitney Electrical & Solar
- Thirroul Solar
Following the success of the first event in Germany last year, LG Chem decided to hold the award in three locations: Germany, Australia and the US.
During the Australian event, the company invited the selected installers to its Mulgrave office for an exclusive office tour and workshop. As part of the workshop session, it held a group interview to obtain feedback from installers about their experience with LG Chem in the market, including successes and areas for improvement.
After the social events — which included golf at Peppers Moonah Links Resort and relaxation at the Peninsula Hot Springs spa — the main award ceremony saw the installers receive plaques, banners and RESU batteries as prizes: RESU10 for 1st place and RESU6.5 for 2nd to 5th place.
"With the growth and advancement of residential storage batteries, we are pleased to team up with leading installers across the globe," said Jeongjin Hong, Vice President of LG Chem's ESS Battery division. "We hope to meet new partners in Australia and we are continuously seeking ways to provide better service for them."
