IPD acquires Addelec Power Services
IPD has acquired Addelec Power Services, a specialist provider of low- and high-voltage electrical services to utilities, infrastructure and data centre applications. The acquisition will extend IPD’s rapidly growing services division.
“The recent acquisition of Addelec Power Services provides IPD customers with specialist maintenance, warranty and refurbishment services, while fitting into IPD’s culture and future direction of the business,” said IPD CEO Michael Sainsbury.
“The acquisition plays a key part for the business to back up the recent addition of ABB products, ensuring our customers can receive a full warranty, service and maintenance offering, as well as support 24 hours a day, seven days a week.”
IPD Services General Manager Chris McPherson commented, “This acquisition will enhance what IPD Service currently offers its customers. Addelec is already a highly respected and trusted business by power and water utilities across NSW.
“The business is currently only servicing the NSW area; however, our aim is to grow this footprint by offering warranty, commissioning, servicing and maintenance, nationally,” he said.
