HPM Legrand merger creates one-stop shop for five brands
The official unification of HPM Industries, Legrand Australia and Nelson Industries has recently been finalised. The new HPM Legrand company will distribute products for electrical installations and information networks under the HPM, Legrand, Nelson, BTicino and Cablofil brands.
The merger, effective November 2009, is a result of business synergies and puts the company in the position of being a 'one-stop shop' for residential, commercial and industrial applications.
Giuseppe Parola, HPM Legrand Chief Executive Officer, said customers and staff alike have welcomed the move and the efficiency it will create: “The formalisation of the merger is an exciting step forward for all our stakeholders.
“This merger is an important milestone in improving not only the efficiency of HPM Legrand but also the extensiveness of the range that we can offer the Australian market. We are confident that the consolidation of these five brands will see HPM Legrand continue to grow and be positioned as the market leader in electrical installations and information networks in Australia and New Zealand.”
Joined by more than 200 wholesalers, electricians and builders, HPM Legrand celebrated the company merger at two events held in Sydney and Melbourne. At these events, customers learnt of the new benefits that this centralisation will offer - one sales force, one customer service team, one ordering system, one account department and one delivery system.
