GSES partnership for testing large solar installations
Solar engineering company Global Sustainable Energy Solutions (GSES) Australia has signed a memorandum of understanding with a German testing and certification body to assess the bankability of large-scale solar power systems in Australia and the Asia-Pacific.
VDE Testing and Certification Institute, the German national testing and certification body for electronic and electrotechnical products, including solar photovoltaic systems and components, will work with GSES to tailor and implement VDE’s power plant services for the region.
“The current competitive market for large solar systems creates opportunities for the application of testing and certification services to support the financial investment and the anticipated energy production of these power systems,” said Geoff Stapleton, Managing Director of GSES.
He said GSES and VDE look forward to introducing these internationally recognised services to the region.
GSES consults in solar design, engineering, system compliance, education, and capacity building.
Both companies currently participate in international large-scale solar power projects to provide their respective fields of engineering expertise.
GSES and VDE have signed the MOU to formalise their relationship for the promotion and delivery of services arising from new commercial opportunities available in these markets.
