Global Lighting Association teams up with Global Off-Grid Lighting Association
The Global Lighting Association (GLA) has announced a partnership with the Global Off-Grid Lighting Association (GOGLA) in order to coordinate knowledge and action in the field of global lighting.
The Global Off-Grid Lighting Association (http://globaloff-gridlightingassociation.org/) acts as the industry advocate with a focus on small and medium enterprises. It is a neutral, independent, not-for-profit association created to promote lighting solutions that benefit society and businesses in developing and emerging markets. GOGLA supports industry in the market penetration of clean, quality, alternative lighting systems.
As Jan Denneman, President of the Global Lighting Association, states, “Both organisations share a commitment to the development and promotion of sustainable energy efficient solutions for lighting. This cooperation gives new breadth to our commitment and we look forward to a productive partnership.”
The Global Lighting Association is the voice of the lighting industry on a global basis and, as a grouping of peak national and regional lighting associations, represents over 5000 lighting manufacturers and US$50 billion annual sales.
