Free lighting product registration systems seminar
The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) en.lighten initiative and lites.asia are hosting a free webinar, ‘Lighting Product Registration Systems: Design and Operation’, on 4 December 2014 at 18:00 ICT (22:00 AEDT).
The ENERGY STAR program was established by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in 1992. It operates a voluntary labelling program that includes the identification and promotion of energy-efficient lighting products.
Based on the ENERGY STAR experience, this webinar will provide guidance on establishing a registration system for lighting products, while identifying key components of the underlying database structure and pitfalls to be avoided. The presentation will also provide an insight into the primary requirements of the various user platforms.
The webinar is aimed at government representatives with a role in policy and regulation, as well as those responsible for, or interested in, the development/implementation of compliance and labelling programs.
