EMSc (UK) Ltd, manufacturer of the Powerstar voltage optimisation system, recently hosted Arthur Savidis, newly appointed sales engineer to the companies Australia branch - EMSc (Australia) Pty Ltd.

Savidis visited the EMSc head office in Sheffield in January, where he was given comprehensive training on the company’s products and their applications.

The extensive two-week training course focused, in particular, on EMSc’s Powerstar voltage optimisation system, which has developed a strong base in Australia over the last few years and has been cemented with the recent opening of the EMSc office operations.

Commenting on the visit, Paul North, international business development manager at EMSc (UK) Ltd, said: “Powerstar has truly established itself as a market leader in voltage optimisation in Australia and has successfully been installed across a wide range of industries including government departments, supermarkets and cold storage facilities.”

He added: “Since the establishment of a dedicated EMSc office in Melbourne last year, we have seen a sharp increase in the number of enquiries for voltage optimisation technology and this comprehensive training course was geared towards not only equipping Arthur with the tools to meet the growing demand in the country, but also to develop new market opportunities in the region.”

During his stay, Savidis participated in installation training, site surveys and technical training, as well as sales and marketing overviews. He also joined in a seminar hosted by Powerstar designer Dr Alex Mardapittas and attended the official launch of EMSc’s new international headquarters and manufacturing facility, which was carried out by the Deputy Prime Minister, Rt Hon Nick Clegg.

Commenting on the visit, Savidis said: “The training and support from the entire team has been outstanding. The various aspects covered have really helped me understand the functionality and potential of Powerstar, and the knowledge I have gained will be invaluable in helping develop the Australian market.”

EMSc has been manufacturing Powerstar - a unique triple wound system with a patented design that can help realise energy consumption savings of 12-15% - at its headquarters in Yorkshire for over a decade.

The company is accredited with the Made in Sheffield accolade in acknowledgement of the quality of its manufacturing process, its expansion into international markets and the overall success of Powerstar, which is exported worldwide to countries including Cyprus, Sri Lanka, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Bahrain, Malta and South Africa.
