Electrical trailblazer to advocate for gender equity

Louise Monger, Vice President Digital Buildings at Schneider Electric, has been selected as a member of the gender advocacy organisation Chief Executive Women (CEW).

The membership recognises Monger’s leadership and contributions to the industry over many years and will see her work with over 1000 influential women who hold leading roles in Australia’s largest private and public organisations.

“It’s important to continue the discussion around gender diversity and empowering women to challenge themselves in the workforce,” said Monger, who began her working life as an electrician. “I am delighted to be invited to join a credible organisation such as CEW, where I will have the opportunity to assist in advancing gender equality in the workplace.”

CEW represents prominent and influential women leaders from the corporate, public service, academic and not-for-profit sectors.

In her role as Vice President Digital Buildings, Monger is responsible for energy management and automation solutions for the built environment. She leads a team of 350 people servicing customers across health care, real estate, transport, data centres and the education sector.

Since her commencement at Schneider Electric in 2020, Monger has become an established thought leader in the property technology industry and is regularly sought out to share her career experience. She is also Deputy Chair for Schneider’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Council.

As a CEW member, Louise will play a key role in helping to remove the barriers to women’s economic participation and support equal opportunity through a range of advocacy, research, targeted programs and scholarships.
