College of Electrical Training nominated for Training Award
The NECA WA Group, consisting of the National Electrical and Communications Association – WA Chapter (NECA WA), the College of Electrical Training (CET) and Electrical Group Training (EGT) attended the National Training Awards held at the Sydney Olympic Park Sports Centre on 19 November 2010.
The Australian Training Awards are the peak, national awards for vocational education and training, recognising innovation and excellence in the training sector. These awards are the culmination of the state and territory awards with winners from each state and territory competing in the national finals.
The College of Electrical Training recently won the WA Small Training Provider of the Year 2010 amongst some high-quality opposition, and as a result was a finalist in contention for National Small Training Provider of the Year 2010 against other state winners.
Geoff Hender, General Manager of CET, said: “Winning the WA Small Training Provider of the Year was recognition of the college’s excellent achievements in the vocational education sector over the past 15 years. Being a finalist for the national award has given us additional recognition as a leading training provider up against some quality opposition, and we congratulate the national winner on their achievement.”
