BICSI adopts updated strategic plan
The BICSI Board of Directors is committed to leading BICSI into the next phase of global presence by meeting to review, revise and update the BICSI Board Strategic Plan. The plan is the road map for directing and managing BICSI’s future and the achievement of short- and long-term goals.
The major areas addressed in the plan include:
- Core purpose: To advance the knowledge and success of our members, their customers and the information technology systems (ITS) industry.
- Core values: Integrity, Leadership and Respect.
- Big audacious goal (BAG): BICSI will be a globally respected provider and driver of knowledge, credentials and standards, and an indispensable source of community to our members and the ITS industry.
Due to convergence, BICSI will use ‘Advancing Information Technology Systems’ as its updated tagline, replacing ‘Transport’ with ‘Technology’.
A total of 17 high-priority tactics were identified and distributed as direction for the BICSI Board, committees and staff. The BICSI Strategic Plan was first adopted in April 2006.
“It is imperative that we do a revision to our Strategic Plan every two years in order to keep up with the emerging technology changes and make sure that BICSI is on the right course for future growth,” said BICSI President Brian Hansen, RCDD, NTS, CSI. “Our Board is very pleased with the revised Strategic Plan and we look forward to working with our committees, staff and international community on our high-priority items.”
John D Clark Jr, CAE, BICSI Executive Director & CEO, added: “The BICSI Board Strategic Plan gives BICSI staff a clear road map on where to focus our resources and energies.”
