Australian Cablemakers Association launches new website
The Australian Cablemakers Association (ACA) has launched a new website - www.australiancablemakers.com - focused on the cable manufacturing industry, workplace health and safety issues, cable quality, and non-compliant and counterfeit cables.
The ACA has been formed to represent the interests of Australia’s cable manufacturers in interaction with government, government authorities, supplier and customer associations, and other industry bodies such as AIG, NECA and Master Electricians Australia.
The association also plans to launch the Approved Cables Initiative (ACI) to address the use of unsafe, non-compliant and counterfeit cables in the Australian marketplace. As a part of the program, the association will organise independent performance testing of Australian and overseas manufactured cables.
