ABB Australia appoints new managing director
ABB Australia has announced Tauno Heinola has been appointed as managing director (MD) for the company in Australia. He succeeds Axel Kuhr, who will become MD in Japan.
Heinola has been MD in Finland since 2011. His appointment is part of a leadership succession at ABB: Kuhr replaces Tony Zeitoun, who is currently MD in Japan and will retire from ABB at the end of the year.
Pekka Tiitinen, currently president of the Discrete Automation and Motion (DM) division, will succeed Heinola as MD in Finland. Sami Atiya joins ABB following a successful 18-year career at Siemens and will become the new president of the DM division.
