Decentralised drive motor

The Movimot ‘D’ extends the operating power of the Movimot range of inverter/geared motor combinations to 4 kW. The MEPS-compliant DR motor is backwards-compatible with previous Movimot versions, providing a flexible decentralised drive solution.

Rated to -30°C ambient temperature, the motor is suitable for deep-freeze, cold storage and warehousing applications. It is fitted with a drive identity module which stores individual motor parameters onboard, minimising motor commissioning at start-up. Most variable speed applications can be easily set through DIP switches and thumbwheels.

Optionally rated up to IP66, the motor features a compact, cast-aluminium construction, with an onboard inverter housed in a small enclosure. Users can position and mount the inverter terminal box in a number of orientations directly on the unit, or up to 15 m away via a motor cable connection.

Colour-coded signal terminals further simplify installation.

The motor is compatible with the Movfit decentralised drive system. Its functionality can be enhanced with the Movitools-MotionStudio software, or an optional plug-in keypad. It supports RS485 serial communications, plus a range of industrial fieldbus protocols such as Profibus, DeviceNet and Interbus.
